Amanda Norcott

Wellness Specialist

Amanda is my personal traveling Wellness Specialist. Her degree from Eastern Michigan University says it all in sports medicine and athletic training. Amanda and I first met as co-athletes on the Eastern Michigan University Cheerleading Squad. I fell in love with this upbeat and vivacious spirit when I saw her true potential for helping not only student athletes but also her creative abilities to teach wellness to disabled clients as well. She has developed training programs that provide fitness assessments and she creates adaptive fitness programs for those who may have unique challenges. Aside from promoting physical health, Amanda is a massive advocate and support system for mental and emotional healing, stability and motivation. 

When Amanda is not teaching a variety of unique and innovative group fitness classesshe's showing off in the body building circuit and WINNING decathlons!!! I am just so proud of this gal. 

Amanda is one of my favorite travel companions. I rely heavily on her knowledge to tailor my eating habits while on the road and, paired with her husband John, the duo feeds me specific workout regiments when a gym is not accessible. They both keep me accountable for my health and well-being but also know how to properly indulge so I can enjoy local cuisine on the road. 

Amandas latest project is my absolute favorite obsession. She is launching a program called "Earn Your Eats". The basis behind this project is geared towards the traveling entrepreneur. Location-based workouts along with restaurant orders and proper nutrition will make your rigorous traveling rewarding and good for your body. Stay tuned for this gem! I am so excited and proud of her!

- Prevent illness: Neosporin on a q-tip lining your nose, will keep the germs at bay

 

- Listerine-to-go strips to keep the germs in your mouth at bay

- Go-to Starbucks order - Grande Defense Tea with lots of honey will boost your immune system

- Hand sanitizer! staff lives everywhere! 

- HYDRATE! Water flushes illness out quicker. Carry an empty container 

with you through TSA to fill up on the other side.

A Note To My Wellness Specialist

From the moment we met, I knew you had a story that was deserving of being shared with the world. You have such a passion for fitness and wellness and you have changed countless lives throughout the years. You helped me lost 30 pounds! You helped me gain my confidence back and you push me to demand better of myself and the people around me daily. You are such a gracious child of God and you are going to continue to do great things for so many people. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for caring so much for my health and well being.
